FermentIQ Privacy Overview

This page is a plain-language summary of how FermentIQ handles your data. The full, binding privacy policy lives at ferment-iq.com/privacy-policy.

The Short Version

• Your data stays in your account. Production records, recipes, inventory, customer lists, and staff records belong to your organization and are isolated per tenant.
• AI processing is ephemeral. BrewBuddy requests are processed by Anthropic (Claude). Anthropic does not retain your data between sessions, and the AI is given only the context needed for the task at hand.
• We don't sell your data. Data is used to run the product for you — not for advertising and not for sale to third parties.
• You can export your data. Account data export is built into the product, and you can request deletion by contacting us.

Who Processes Data on Our Behalf

• Anthropic — AI processing for BrewBuddy and other assistant features.
• Render — US-based cloud hosting for the application and database.
• Stripe — payment processing for subscriptions; FermentIQ never stores your card details.
• ElevenLabs — text-to-speech for BrewBuddy's optional voice replies.

Security

All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Accounts use hashed passwords (bcrypt), JWT-based sessions, optional two-factor authentication, per-organization data isolation, rate limiting, and audit logging of sensitive actions.
